Bike Happening!!

About 9:15 or so Dan, Corrina, Rosemary, John, Robin, and myself set out from The House to hit the first ever Thursday Night SLO Bike Happening.

What a blast. Over 60 people met behind the Frog and Peach -- on cruisers, on beaters, on mountain bikes, on 10-speeds.

Our instructions were to not muss our hair.

It was the perfect night: almost warm. We hit the streets around ten and made two full loops around downtown. People cheered us, cars honked, we hooted, we hollered, and we giggled.

At times you'd go buy a portion of street and be overcome with sweet summer smell of honeysuckle and eucalyptus. I looked behind me to see bike light bike light bike light dotting the road behind me like little two wheeled fireflies.

At the end we met at Central Coast Brewing Company, a brew your own joint. Beers were poored and chatting commenced. Meeting the people you'd been biking next to.
