Korlandia evenings are magic, part two
Korlandia evenings are magic
Lately I’ve been seeing rainbows
Or at least the bright color palette of rainbows.
I didn’t really start noticing this until I saw Swiss Miss’s post about an upcoming Creative Morning’s event featuring Jessi Arrington. This led me to Jessi’s web site which is nothing less than a rainbow explosion.
Since then, I’ve been seeing rainbows everywhere.
- The Visual Miscellaneum
- Lucky Guess WordPress theme
- Jessi Arrington at Lucky So and So
- Tattoos at Tattly
- Craft: Paint Sample Garland
- Glitch (granted, these are subdued)
Along the same lines, I saw a post at ColourLovers about the Rebirth of Neon and have been seeing a ton of it lately, too.
Hall of Fame: Elsa Mora
Elsa Mora is one of my online heros.
She sews. She is a paper artist. She paints. She makes jewelry. She wears cool clothes. She is making a book.
What I love about Elsita
She has the best attitude. She never apologizes for her optimistic point of view. She loves her family. She is generous with encouragement and appreciation. She makes time for her art. She seems to create every day. Her talent is really something else. She produces work constantly.
Story that tugged at my heart
What story from Elsita hasn’t tugged at my heart? But this one especially… and I just read it yesterday. And reading it is what inspired me to do this Hall of Fame feature on my new blog. Elsita used to not be the light-hearted super happy person that she is today. How did she change? She decided to and then she made intentional changes in her life. But I’m taking all the magic out of it. You can read it here. And here is the quote that I want to remember: “nothing is more important for progress than intentionally working on changing what you think that needs to be change.”
What I’d especially love to share with you
Lucy
Mom loves Ysabel
At this point, Ysa is totally teasing my mom (you should see the sequence of photos) by saying “Mimi! Mimi!” (they call her Mimi). “Mimi, I want to tell you a secret!” this is all said in theatrical whisper. Then she slowly and gently approaches my mother’s ear, cups her hand and then makes this very low, loud, grumbly monster voice pronouncing gibberish.
It’s hilarious.
This shot is caught when my mom thinks she’s convinced Ysa to not do that again.
Yeah, right.
Mimi! Mimi! I want to tell you another secret…..
